The Toronto & District Multiple Myeloma Support Group is for myeloma patients and their spouses, caregivers, loved ones, significant others, family members and friends.
The purpose of the group is to explore and discuss the wide range of treatment options and to give myeloma survivors and their loved ones the support and information they need to live longer, stronger lives.
Great progress has been made in the last few years in the understanding of, and treatment for, this rare blood cancer. We have speakers on a regular basis to update us on these advances, with topics such as new treatment approaches, emerging therapies in clinical trials and managing side-effects of medications.
We are grateful for the support of our national counterpart Myeloma Canada and its contributors, as well as the invaluable assistance given by Dr. Donna Reece of Princess Margaret Hospital, Director, Program for Multiple Myeloma and Related Diseases.
